I am Jay !
I'm a Master’s student in Interaction Design at Carnegie Mellon University, with 8+ years of experience as a UX/Product Designer at Samsung Electronics and Cisco Security.
My current research focuses on Human–AI agent Interaction, exploring how to build trustworthy, intuitive AI systems that seamlessly integrate into daily life. I'm especially interested in multi-device ecosystems, emotional design, and how AI can become a meaningful, reliable partner in the home.
At Samsung, I led design for cross-platform IoT and AI experiences, including SmartThings (500M+ users) and Bixby, working across mobile, TV, and smart appliances. At Cisco, I contributed to unifying complex security workflows across products like Duo, ISE, and Secure Access.
